1. Complete three years of undergraduate degree requirements at NCKU
2. Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
3. English Language proficiency:
a. TOEFL: 103 or higher (internet-based test); IELTS: 7.0 or higher for
“Full Admission status”
b. Lower scores may be considered for “limited admission status”
requiring additional English language classes at UIUC
c. Minimum TOEFL: 79 (internet-based test); Minimum IELTS: 6.5 with
a score of 6 or higher in all sub-sections.
Admitted students who do not meet the requirements for Full Admission status will be required to attend a 4-week Intensive English Course during the summer.
4. Applicants must be able to apply the credits from the 1st year at UIUC to complete their bachelor of engineering degree at NCKU and graduate before returning for the master’s degree in the 2nd year. 5. Beginning this year, we are requesting (not requiring) that GRE scores be included in the application for the 3+2 program. Scores may be submitted after the Feb 15 deadline.
